Post conference bookapalooza

The Lines and Letters Conference organized by the Rocky Mountain Chapter of SCBWI this past weekend provided a time of recharging for me. My mind has been provoked and opened and challenged. I'll do a quick recap soon but for now, here is the list of books I am going to read as a result of recommendations:

Have you read all/any of these? Any thoughts? Favorite passages? Most unforgettable characters?

Those are some very interesting and intriguing covers!

I've read three out of five (the bottom three), and Liz is a dear friend of mine - I have SUCH high hopes for her, and for VERITY. I rather liked PLAIN KATE, but felt some elements were needlessly sinister - it was a Cybs choice, and there was much argument. And Chris Crutcher is always thought-provoking. These are an interestingly mixed bag of books.

Thanks for chiming in.

Tanita: I haven't been reading blogs for a while, but I seem to recall that you and Sarah have reviewed a couple of these. I'll go check them out after I read them.
