Scholastic Asian Book Award
The Kumquat Code, my middle grade novel, has been shortlisted for the Scholastic Asian Book Award!
It's a good habit not to let the inevitable road bumps and obstacles prevent me from writing, but I am most certainly going to let good news buoy my spirits!
Squee!

CONGRATULATIONS!
When did you -- wha -- huh!?
You keep just piling up the accolades with this book.
Wow! That's amazing! Congratulations! I think your novel's going to find a nice home soon.
Tanita: Did I not mention this ever at chat? I saw the call for entries and thought it couldn't be more perfect for KQ. So I had to try. Crossing my fingers, toes, eyes.
Scott: Thanks. I sure hope so!
Yat-Yee, this is wonderful news! Congratulations! Wow!

All that hard work paying off! Way to go!! Congrats :)
I'm sorry to make you crazy. What I saw on tv was Julie Chan make mention that the award was being given. Unfortunately I don't remember what I was watching when she said it.
Nice!
Whoa. I wish I had put two and two together when we were hanging out at the AFCC - I have known about your blog for quite some time now!
Tarie: I wish I had read your business card instead of putting it away! I would have recognized your blog as well! I am glad we made the connection. Hopefully we'll see each other again.
So glad I got to meet you in person. =D I know two other writers in your writing group: Sarah and Tanita! I hope we ALL get together one day.
