Wednesday Word Count

This month, Cuppa Jolie is helping writers crack the whip on their w-i-p, as I mentioned in an earlier post. And Laini Taylor (i am reading Lips Touch right now) has Mr. Linky set up at her blog on Wednesdays, for participants to commit to a weekly word count.

My writing last week was uneven, with word count ranging from 300 to over 2,000 words a day. My goal is rather modest: 3,000 words this week and 4 chapters by the end of the month.

I don't now how I'll fare this week, but I invite you to join me in stating your goals and tapping into a supportive community.

C-r-a-a-c-k!

My many words have written. This month is about editing and cutting away the excess. Good luck on cracking that whip. ;)

Thanks for the invite. I'm toying with the idea of starting a new WIP tomorrow. Because of my work situation, I have very little uninterrupted writing time, so it's hard to set a goal. But good luck with your's!

It's odd, this morning at 4AM I woke up with an idea for MG. I will be doing some outlining today....

Isn't LIPS TOUCH yummy?!

Modest is good. I've been working the modest mode this past week, too, but it's great to see how those modest daily word counts add up to a nice amount of work getting done. Yay!

Wow, that's a great wordcount, if you ask me. With new stuff I can only usually do about 300 words a day.

Are you going to do a review on Lips Touch? I've heard it's really good.

Bish: that is so exciting! Have you done your outlining yet? Please let me know how it goes.

Jolie: yes, yummy is definitely one word I'd use to describe it.

Glam: well, most of my 500 words are likely to be junk. I just need to learn to get words down on page without editing. I don't know if I'll do a review on Lips Touch. I know some people can write really helpful reviews easily, but I struggle to put my impression in a satisfying way. I may still do it. We'll see.
